Mobile Security Solution

Mobile security is about ensuring that your company data is secure wherever your teams need to access it – at the office, on the road or from their home office.

As Mobile devices are now the primary target for phishing and other attacks, your organisation needs to take a proactive stance to protecting mobile devices and the content contained on them.

Our Mobile Security solution is called TeleSecure.

TeleSecure meets your challenges for mobile security

They are targeting you

The evidence is in, and its not pretty, the mobile device is platform of choice and the new battleground for attacks against personal and company information. Phishing is not only regular, but it’s also the most damaging and high profile cybersecurity threat facing enterprises today, you need protection.

  • 52% of organisations experienced a malware incident on a remote device in 2020, up 37% from the previous year.
  • In 2020, 28% of corporate devices were regularly utilising an operating system with a known security vulnerability.
  • 15% of organisations had at least one device using an app that leaked password data, this was up 11% from the previous year.
  • After being compromised by mobile malware, 37% continued accessing corporate emails and 11% continued accessing cloud storage.
  • Whilst Android devices are 5.3x more likely to have a vulnerable app installed than iOS devices, iOS has recently had some significant security breaches.

You need protection

There is a very common misconception in the market that Mobile Device Management Systems (MDM) protect the device and the content, unfortunately this is not correct. MDM only protects the device, not the content and definitely not content in transit.

So, what do you need protection from that MDM doesn’t cover?

  • Vulnerabilities from escalated privileges & outdated OSs.
  • Malware and risky applications.
  • Man-in-the-middle attacks.
  • Known and zero-day phishing threats.
  • Malicious downloads & data exfiltration attacks.
  • Sensitive data loss & compromised user privacy.

Phishing is not only regular, but it’s also the most damaging and high profile cybersecurity threat facing enterprises today, you need protection.

Some people behave badly

Like it or not Working from Home (WFH) is here to stay. Whilst Covid accelerated it, we are now in the age of the “borderless enterprise”.

A recent Gartner survey of CFOs revealed that 74% intend to shift some employees to remote work permanently.

Is it coincidence that there has also been a notable increase of (up to 100%) in connections to inappropriate content during office hours?

Whilst most people do the right thing, some use corporate devices to access inappropriate content or have undesirable behaviour.

The effect? Your costs grow exponentially through high mobile data use.

It’s the law

In 2018, the Australian Government, under the Privacy Amendment (Notifiable Data Breaches) Act 2017, established the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme.

The NDB scheme introduces the obligation for organisations holding private data to notify individuals whose personal information is involved in a data breach that is likely to result in serious harm. This notification must include recommendations about the steps individuals should take in response to the breach.

Fines for NDB compliance breaches are currently$2.1 Million for organisations in Australia.

Mobile devices are not exempt from NDB.

We put the squeeze on for you

So lets get back to the issue at hand, how do you get all your devices fully protected for no additional cost?

  • We install software on your devices to protect the content at rest and in transit.
  • We apply policies to enforce and limit access to inappropriate content and discourage undesirable behaviour.
  • We will fully manage this service for you and optimise your usage and plans for you.
  • The outcome is typically a lower mobile bill from your carrier which will subsidise the costs of our service and the software we utilise.
